Elderly people with advanced gastric cancer may have worsening upper abdominal pain, decreased appetite, fatigue, emaciation and weight loss. According to the different parts of tumor, there are also its special manifestations. 1. Cancer of cardia fundus may have retrosternal pain and feeling of obstruction in eating. 2. Gastric cancer near the pylorus grows to a certain extent leading to partial or complete blockage of the pylorus, and vomiting occurs, and the vomit is mostly persistent food and gastric juice. 3. Tumor breaks or invades blood vessels or causes bleeding, resulting in symptoms such as vomiting blood, black stools, etc. Gastric perforation may also occur. 4. Metastasis of stomach cancer to liver may cause right upper abdominal pain, jaundice, fever and other discomforts. Gastric cancer spreading to peritoneum may cause accumulation of fluid in abdominal cavity. Radioactive pain in the back occurs when it invades the pancreas. It should be noted that gastric cancer patients can reduce the adverse effects of the disease and improve the quality of survival through “early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment”, and palliative symptomatic treatment is the mainstay for patients with advanced gastric cancer. Patients with advanced gastric cancer are mainly treated with palliative and symptomatic treatment. It is suggested that patients should actively carry out regular treatment.
