Can a tuberculous liver abscess be cured?

In general, patients with tuberculous liver abscesses can be cured after regular treatment.
Tuberculous liver abscess is a secondary liver abscess in the liver caused by tuberculosis infection. This disease can be cured after regular anti-tuberculosis treatment as well as liver abscess treatment. Anti-tuberculosis treatment mostly refers to drug therapy, and the use of anti-tuberculosis drugs should follow the principles of early, regular, appropriate amount, whole course and combination.
At present, the commonly used anti-tuberculosis drugs are isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol and so on. The treatment of liver abscess includes systemic supportive therapy (i.e. giving adequate nutritional support, correcting water and electrolyte balance imbalance, etc.), percutaneous hepatic puncture and drainage, and surgical treatment.
For patients with tuberculous liver abscess, it is important to go to the hospital in time for early treatment.
