Keratoplasty is a method of correcting myopia, mainly through the deformation of the cornea by compression, changing the curvature of the cornea, so as to achieve the effect of improving vision. The main steps of wearing keratoplasty lenses are washing hands to take out, cleaning, eye drops and wearing.
1. Hand washing and taking out: Before wearing the lens, check your nails first to avoid damage to the lens by over-length nails, and then wash your hands 3 times with flowing tap water and soap to take out the corneal contact lens.
2. Cleaning: Using saline, the surface of the storage solution or care solution is fully cleaned to reduce the toxic effect of the care solution on the eyes.
3. Eye drops: Place the corneal contact lens on the surface of the index finger of the right hand, with the concave side facing upward, and dot 1 drop of preservative-free artificial tears or saline on the concave side, so as to reduce the air bubbles inside the lens and make wearing more comfortable.
4. Wearing: use the middle finger of the left hand to pull open the upper eyelid of the right eye, use the middle finger of the right hand to pull open the lower eyelid of the right eye, place the lens gently in the center of the cornea, after placing the lens, release the lower eyelid and the upper eyelid in turn, and gently blink to ensure that the lens is in the cornea; lastly, use the same method to wear the left side of the lens.
If the user is unable to adapt after wearing the lens, remove the lens and wear it again. If the symptoms of eye stinging and redness occur again, the user should stop wearing the lens and go to the hospital as soon as possible for a follow-up examination.
