Occlusion of the right middle cerebral artery should first undergo an angiogram to determine the extent of the occlusion and whether there is any stenosis or occlusion of the other vessels. The most accurate test is a DSA, also known as a Digital Subtraction Angiogram, which is an invasive test that can be performed in the Department of Neurology, Department of Neurosurgery, or Department of Vascular Surgery. If the patient is found to have indications for stenting at the same time as the angiogram, arterial stenting can be performed during the procedure. If the vessel has been completely occluded and can no longer be recanalized by surgical treatment, the subsequent treatment is limited to the use of internal medicine, commonly used aspirin combined with clopidogrel dual-antibiotic therapy, atorvastatin stabilization of atherosclerotic plaques, to prevent further aggravation of vascular occlusion and stenosis. Regular monitoring of liver function is required during the medication period to prevent drug-induced liver damage.
