Mild to moderate myopia can skydive, high myopia cannot.
If the myopia is below 600 degrees, which belongs to the range of mild or moderate myopia, skydiving can be performed, and skydiving generally has no effect on vision.
If the myopia is more than 600 degrees, it belongs to high myopia and skydiving is not recommended. The eye axis of high myopia is over-extended, and the fundus of the eye is prone to degenerative changes, when the eye already has retinal degeneration, choroidal atrophy and other conditions. Skydiving is a strenuous exercise, and if highly myopic people go skydiving, it is easy for the fragile retina to develop cracks or even detachment.
Highly myopic people need to avoid all strenuous sports on a daily basis, and it is recommended that myopic people go to the hospital in time to correct their vision and do regular vision checkups.
