The nebulized dosage of budesonide is typically 1-2 mg twice a day for adults and 0.5-1 mg twice a day for children. The maintenance dose should be individualized, i.e., the lowest dose that remains asymptomatic. 0.5-1 mg twice a day is recommended for adults and 0.25-0.5 mg twice a day for children. In addition, budesonide nebulizer can be nebulized with 1-5 ml of saline, but nebulizer therapy is an adjunctive treatment and is recommended not to be used for more than 3 days.
