What is a mixed cystic-solid echogenic nodule?

A mixed cystic-solid echogenic nodule is an imaging finding that represents a breast nodule with both cystic and solid tissue components. Mixed cystic-solid echoes are imaging findings that are predominantly hypoechoic on ultrasound in the case of cystic nodules and predominantly hyperechoic on ultrasound exploration in the case of solid nodules. Mixed echoes represent nodules with both cystic tissue and solid grouping lengths, with a mixture of both. Cystic nodules have a high probability of being benign, while mixed cystic-solid nodules should be considered for malignancy. It is recommended that the patient take into account his or her own situation to determine whether to undergo surgery. If the size of the nodule is large and the symptoms are more serious, it should be timely surgical resection, postoperative pathological examination, if it is a malignant nodule, it should be combined with radiotherapy to improve the therapeutic effect. For patients who are found to have mixed cystic-solid echogenic nodules, they should undergo further examination and choose the appropriate way to deal with them.
