What’s wrong with tinnitus that sounds like cicadas at night?

Tinnitus at night like cicadas may be neurotinnitus, Meniere’s disease, acoustic neuroma and other diseases. 1. Neurogenic tinnitus: the cause of neurogenic tinnitus is not yet clear, and it is considered to be caused by lesions of the auditory nerve or central auditory meridian. Patients will have abnormal sounds in the ear, such as cicadas, buzzing, whistling and so on. If the patient has neurogenic tinnitus, it will be manifested as tinnitus at night. 2. Ménière’s disease: the cause of Ménière’s disease is still unclear, and it is considered to be related to factors such as ischemia of the inner ear and mechanical obstruction of the endolymphatic vessels. Patients will have tinnitus, mostly low-pitched tinnitus in the early stage, and complex tinnitus in the later stage, mostly high-pitched cicadas or sirens. 3. Auditory neuroma: Generally, the cause of solitary auditory neuroma is not clear, while neurofibromatosis type II is considered to be caused by autosomal dominant inheritance. Patients will have tinnitus (cicada sound), vertigo, hearing loss and other manifestations. Night sleep tinnitus may also be otosclerosis, cervical spondylosis, otitis media and other diseases caused by the need for timely medical care, to take appropriate measures for the cause of the treatment as prescribed by the doctor.
