What does a negative hepatitis B test mean?

A negative hepatitis B test often means that the hepatitis B surface antigen is negative. If the hepatitis B surface antigen is negative, it means that the body is not carrying the hepatitis B virus inside and is not a carrier of the hepatitis B virus. If the hepatitis B surface antigen is positive and the hepatitis B surface antibody is negative, then you are a carrier of the hepatitis B virus, so it depends on which specific indicator is negative. If you are a hepatitis B virus carrier, you need to have regular checkups of the five quantitative hepatitis B items, liver function, hepatitis B DNA, fetoprotein, blood count and abdominal ultrasound every 3-6 months. If the indication for antiviral treatment is met, aggressive antiviral treatment is needed. If you do not meet the indications for antiviral treatment, regular rechecking, adequate rest and good sleep will generally not be a big problem.
