It is a somatoform disorder, a subtype of neurosis with three characteristics: 1. Various somatic discomfort, such as headache, dizziness, nausea, chest pain, chest depression or choking sensation in the throat, numbness, insect crawling and other abnormal sensations. A comprehensive somatic examination is done at the hospital, but there are no explainable somatic abnormal findings. 2, excessive concern and worry about physical discomfort, repeatedly seeking medical treatment, often constantly changing hospitals and doctors, seeking various examinations and treatments, but with little effect, internal pain, lasting more than six months, bringing significant impact on personal work, life and study. 3. Before and after the onset of the disease, there are often certain psychological factors and life events, such as family disagreements, quarrels, anger, poor work performance, depression, learning difficulties, interpersonal conflicts, etc., but patients refuse to admit that their symptoms are related to this, but feel that they are psychologically “healthy” or “open-minded”. They think they are mentally “healthy” or “open-minded”, thus avoiding the real causes and psychological help. As a result, the problem persists for a long time without effective treatment.
