There is no such thing as a proprietary Chinese medicine that eliminates all lower limb edema, but there are some proprietary Chinese medicines that can treat lower limb edema, such as Jisheng Kidney Qi Pill and Wu Ling San.
1. Jisheng Kidney Qi Pill is a tonic, with the effect of warming the kidney and transforming qi, inducing diuresis and eliminating edema. It is mainly used for treating kidney deficiency and edema caused by insufficient kidney yang, internal storage of water-dampness (water-dampness stays in the body), heaviness in waist and knees, dysuria (unruly urination), phlegm (pathological product formed by impaired metabolism of water and fluid) and coughing and wheezing.
Diet should be light, low-salt diet, avoid smoking and alcohol, contraindications, adverse reactions are not clear.
2. Wu Ling San is an expectorant of dampness, with the effect of inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the operation of water to get rid of dampness), and warming yang and transforming qi (warming yang qi in the body). It is used for treating water retention in the bladder (a type of syndrome manifesting as dysuria, bloating of the abdomen, thirst for water, vomiting after drinking, etc.), or shortness of breath and cough; or edema and diarrhea. The tongue is white, and the pulse is floating or floating.
The contraindications, precautions and adverse effects of this medicine are not clear.
