No specific treatment is usually required for asymptomatic infections, but patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia must be treated in isolation. For asymptomatic patients with new coronavirus pneumonia, first of all, attention must be paid to the isolation treatment, to avoid the spread of infectious agents, clinically asymptomatic infected people do not develop, do not progress to become overtly infected, generally do not leave sequelae, patients often do not have uncomfortable symptoms, so there is no need to carry out special treatment. Moreover, there is no specific drug for the treatment of new coronavirus pneumonia infection, so even though asymptomatic patients have the virus in their bodies, they do not need special treatment. Regular checkups should be performed, and if symptoms of overt infection appear, then reasonable treatment should be provided. [Note: On December 26, 2022, the National Health Commission announced that the terms “new coronavirus pneumonia” and “new coronavirus pneumonia” were renamed to “new coronavirus infection” in this article.
