Orthodontic treatment is recommended for protruding incisors, which are categorized into two types: 1) simple protruding teeth, and 2) protruding incisors accompanied by bony deformities such as maxillary protrusion and mandibular retraction. For simple teeth protrusion, the use of conventional orthodontic treatment will be able to recover the upper teeth, aligned teeth. If there is a bony deformity of incisor protrusion, the treatment effect of orthodontic treatment alone is limited, and orthognathic surgery with orthodontic treatment is needed to solve the problem of maxillary incisor protrusion. If children have protruding incisors during the developmental period, most of them are caused by mouth breathing or bad oral habits such as finger sucking, which should be broken, and at the same time, they should wear movable orthodontic appliances for orthodontic treatment. If the adult incisors are protruding, porcelain veneers or full crowns can also be used to retract the incisors. For chronic periodontitis caused by protruding incisors, periodontal treatment is needed to control periodontal inflammation.
