The treatment effect of esophageal cancer depends on the period of disease discovery, as follows: 1. Early stage esophageal cancer: after endoscopic evaluation, there exists an indication for endoscopic treatment, endoscopic treatment can be carried out, i.e. endoscopic submucosal dissection. Through postoperative pathological evaluation, if curative resection is achieved, the five-year survival rate is generally above 95%; 2. Progressive esophageal cancer: treatment mainly includes radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgical treatment, and the treatment effect varies from person to person. Some patients may achieve clinical cure after standardized chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
