Mafloquine is a relatively common short-acting contraceptive pill, usually used to prevent pregnancy or regulate menstruation. The most common side effects are depression, mood changes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, hives, and possibly less common side effects such as allergies, loss of libido, intolerance to contact lenses, erythema nodosum, erythema multiforme, breast discharge, abnormal increase in vaginal discharge, and weight loss. There is also the possibility of side effects that may aggravate the primary disease and contraindicate the use of momoflavone in many cases, such as venous thromboembolic disease, arterial thromboembolic disease, hypertension, hormone-dependent tumors (liver tumors, breast cancer), and melasma. There is a risk that intermenstrual bleeding may be easily confused with organic diseases, and it is also not used in cases of endometrial hyperplasia, unexplained vaginal bleeding.
