What is chronic nephritis?

Chronic glomerulonephritis is referred to as chronic nephritis, which refers to diffuse or focal inflammatory changes in bilateral glomeruli of different pathological types caused by various etiologies, with insidious clinical onset, long course and slow development, so it is not strictly speaking an independent disease. It is a group of chronic glomerular diseases with multiple etiologies, but the etiology of most patients is unknown, and there is no clear relationship with streptococcal infections, according to statistics, only 15-20% are transformed from acute glomerulonephritis, but because the subclinical type of acute glomerulonephritis is not easily diagnosed, the percentage may actually be higher. In addition, most patients with chronic nephritis do not have a history of acute nephritis, which may be caused by various bacterial, viral and other infections through immune mechanisms, inflammatory mediators or non-immune mechanisms. Chinese medicine treatment has a more certain efficacy, and requires firm confidence and systematic treatment.
