The imaging changes of tuberculosis on CT will not have burrs, which are mostly seen in lung malignancies. The main imaging changes of pulmonary tuberculosis are that it occurs in the posterior apical segment of the upper lobe, the dorsal segment of the lower lobe or the posterior basal segment, and it is coexisting in various forms, which can be manifested as the simultaneous existence of infiltrating, proliferating, caseous, and fibrocalcified foci, with inhomogeneous density, clearer margins, and slower change of the lesion, and it is easy to form cavities and disseminated foci. In addition to CT examination, sputum culture is also advocated because the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in sputum culture is the gold standard for the diagnosis of tuberculosis.
