A weakly positive urine leukocyte indicates a suspected urinary tract infection or contamination of the urine specimen, which is not a serious condition and can be further determined by the patient’s symptoms. If there are symptoms such as urinary frequency, urinary urgency and painful urination, suggesting the presence of urinary tract infection, it is recommended to give anti-infective medication, which can be taken orally for a course of 3 days and can be discontinued after the symptoms are reduced, but if there are no conscious symptoms, no urinary frequency, urinary urgency, painful urination and urinary tract discomfort, consider the contamination of urine specimens caused by the retention of urine specimens. If the specimen is left for too long and the specimen is contaminated, or if it is exposed to other contaminants and the urine is weakly positive for leukocytes, the urine routine can be retested at a later date and no treatment is required if it is completely normal. If the recheck is still abnormal, further urine culture is recommended to confirm the presence of a urinary tract infection, and treatment will be decided based on the results of the culture, which is a common disease and not a serious condition.
