Should chemotherapy be used for cervical cancer stage IB1

Stage 1B1 cervical cancer can be treated without chemotherapy if there are no high-risk factors after standard surgical treatment. If stage 1B1 cervical cancer is treated with extensive total hysterectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection, and the biopsy of para-aortic lymph nodes is negative, further treatment is not needed and regular review is sufficient. However, if the pathological result of surgery is hypofractionated and there is vascular infiltration or lymph node metastasis, radiotherapy or chemotherapy will be required after surgery, and treatment will be individualized according to the patient’s age and the patient’s specific situation.
