2. Maxillary sinus: the maxillary sinus is the largest sinus cavity in the 4 groups of sinuses, located in a bilateral cheek, opening in the middle nasal passage at the semilunar fissure.
3. Pterygoid sinus: It is located in the pterygoid bone, near the back of the turbinate, mostly asymmetric in size and shape, and opens into the pterygoid sieve fossa.
4. Sieve sinuses: located in the bilateral medial canthus, divided into anterior and posterior groups of sieve sinuses, the former group of sieve sinuses opening in the middle nasal tract, the latter group of sieve sinuses opening in the upper nasal tract.
