Does the fetus still move after a fracture?

The fetus will continue to move after a fracture, although the amplitude and frequency of fetal movements will be significantly reduced. Most fetuses recover quickly from a fracture as long as the fracture is not fatal. Fetal movements may decrease or even disappear for a period of time, but will return as the fracture recovers. In some cases, however, the fetus will continue to stop growing due to the severity of the injury. Mothers with abdominal injuries should go to a level II or higher hospital. The doctor will ask the patient to stay in bed and to undergo a series of tests to determine the health of the fetus, as there is no good treatment for this particular type of fracture.
