One side of the nose is swollen and painful when pressed.

Swelling inside one side of the nose with pain when pressed may be caused by nasal boils, nasal vestibulitis, etc., including general treatment, physical therapy, medication and so on.
1. Nasal boils: they can be caused by nose picking, trauma, plucking nose hairs and other infections. For immature boils, they can be treated by cleaning the skin, physiotherapy, anti-infective treatment such as amoxicillin clavulanic acid potassium, cefuroxime and other anti-infective treatments; and localized application of ointment such as mupirocin and other medications. For mature boils, incision and drainage of pus are required, followed by cleaning and disinfection, and squeezing of the nose is prohibited.
2. Nasal vestibulitis: its onset is related to acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, long-term exposure to tobacco and other harmful dust, nose picking and other bad habits. First of all, treat the primary disease, get out of the bad environment, give up the bad habit of picking the nose. You can use saline wet compresses, with erythromycin ointment, fusidic acid cream and other antibiotics or physical therapy.
It is recommended to go to the hospital to find out the cause of the disease, and follow the doctor’s instructions to use medication and treatment.
