Fetal movement like twitching may be caused by calcium deficiency of pregnant women, fetal compression of nerves, fetal hypoxia in utero and so on.
1. Calcium deficiency of pregnant women: in the process of fetal growth and development, the calcium absorbed by pregnant women is transferred to the fetus through the placenta in large quantities, and at the same time, their own circulating blood volume increases, leading to a decrease in their own blood calcium concentration, which makes pregnant women appear to have convulsive fetal movements.
2. Fetal compression of nerves: the growing fetus leads to the increasing size of the uterus of the pregnant woman, causing pressure on the surrounding organs, nerves and blood vessels, tissues, etc., which makes the local muscles of the pregnant woman stimulated by the twitching-like fetal movements.
3. Fetal hypoxia in the uterus: During pregnancy, the pregnant woman’s mental stress is excessive, leading to sympathetic nerve excitement, the pregnant woman’s vascular contraction is strengthened, the placenta’s blood supply is insufficient leading to a decrease in the mother’s blood oxygen content, which induces the fetus hypoxia in the uterus, so that the pregnant woman appears to have a twitching-like fetal movement.
If a pregnant woman has convulsive fetal movements, it is recommended that she go to a professional hospital in time and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment.
