Can bulging eyes be improved with regular pressure?

Blepharospasm is more difficult to improve by pressing and unnecessary artificial pressure on the eye is not recommended and may cause dislocation of the lens and other lesions.
Patients with bulging eyes are most often the result of hyperthyroidism, high myopia, orbital tumors, and many other causes. Patients can be treated with medication, intraoperative treatment, and other means to improve their appearance, but bulging eyes cannot generally be improved by massaging the eyeball. Patients with bulging eyes may experience increased intraocular pressure, lens dislocation, and other discomforts if they press hard on their eyes.
Patients with hyperthyroidism can be treated with anti-hyperthyroid medications such as methimazole and propylthiouracil as prescribed by the doctor. If the bulging eyeballs are obvious, patients can be treated with orbital decompression to improve their appearance.
It is recommended that patients with significant bulging eyes seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow doctor’s instructions for treatment.
