Can lung nodules become cancerous?

Lung nodules may become cancerous, and some may even be lung cancer.
Lung nodules are a result of CT, X-ray, etc. They can be caused by inflammation, calcified foci, and lung cancer, etc. Benign diseases are more common, but there is also a certain chance of cancer if they are not treated actively. In particular, the larger the size of the lung nodule, the greater the chance of cancer.
If the size of the lung nodule is between 4 and 7mm, it can be followed up and observed. If the size of the nodule is more than 8mm, it has a higher chance of becoming cancerous and needs to be surgically removed in time.
In addition, some lung nodules are lung cancer themselves, but because of the early stage, they are difficult to be detected and need to be diagnosed through puncture biopsy.
