What’s with the arm pain and the inability to lift it?

There are physiologic and pathologic causes of arm pain and inability to lift. Pathologic causes mainly include nerve root cervical spondylosis, rotator cuff tendon injury, arm muscle strain, frozen shoulder and so on. Physiological reasons: the physiological causes of arm pain can not be lifted up are long-term work, poor sitting posture, shoulder and neck cold, etc., generally remove the external causes can be relieved by themselves. 2. Pathologic causes (1) Nerve root cervical spondylosis: the pathological causes of arm pain and inability to lift up are mostly seen in nerve root cervical spondylosis, of which cervical spondylosis is the most common cause, due to the nerve root compression of the arm pain and inability to lift up the symptoms. (2) Rotator cuff injury: rotator cuff injury leads to pulling the damaged rotator cuff and surrounding tendons when the arm is lifted, and because of the pain, the arm cannot be lifted smoothly. (3) Muscle strain of the arm: The muscle of the arm is damaged due to strenuous exercise, etc., and the arm cannot be lifted due to the pain of the muscle damage when the arm is lifted. (4) Frozen shoulder: Frozen shoulder leads to tendon adhesion around the shoulder joint, resulting in limited shoulder joint movement, and when the arm is lifted, the shoulder tendon will have pain because of the reduced range of motion of the shoulder joint, and the arm cannot be lifted. There may be other reasons why you can’t lift your arm, so it is recommended that you go to the hospital in time to improve the examination and clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy.
