Erythromycin Cream

Erythromycin cream is generally referred to as erythromycin ointment, which is mainly used for purulent skin diseases such as impetigo, common acne, small areas of lesser degree of burns, and infections on ulcerated surfaces.

Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic with antibacterial activity against most Gram-positive bacteria, some Gram-negative bacteria, and some atypical pathogens such as Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, so it can be used to treat the above diseases.

Irritation symptoms and allergic reactions are occasionally seen during use, such as burning sensation, itching, redness and swelling at the site of application. Erythromycin ointment contraindications are not clear, but should avoid contact with the eyes and other mucous membrane areas, and avoid combining with chloramphenicol and lincomycin. Erythromycin ointment should be avoided in combination with chloramphenicol and lincomycin. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to it, and should be used with caution for those with allergies.

If you need to use erythromycin ointment, it is recommended to consult a doctor and use it under the doctor’s guidance.
