Post-exercise stomach pain, i.e. abdominal pain, may be related to gastrointestinal spasm, intestinal torsion, uterine contraction and so on.
1. Gastrointestinal spasm: during strenuous exercise, blood vessels on the surface of the limbs and related muscles dilate and blood flow increases, resulting in a relative decrease in blood flow to the abdominal organs, which can cause gastrointestinal spasm and abdominal pain.
2. Intestinal torsion: Intestinal torsion is induced in some patients after strenuous exercise, and severe abdominal pain may also occur, accompanied by nausea, vomiting and other symptoms.
3. Uterine contraction: for menstruating women the pelvis has been in a state of congestion, running will cause the uterus to contract in an uncoordinated manner, and the menstrual blood will flow back into the pelvis, causing pain in the lower abdomen.
Tummy pain after exercise may also be caused by other reasons, if discomfort occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of a doctor to clarify the cause and targeted treatment, do not take medication on their own, so as not to delay the condition.
