Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, is characterized by persistent airflow obstruction and corresponding respiratory symptoms. Its CT manifestations mainly include CT manifestations of chronic bronchitis, CT manifestations of emphysema and CT manifestations of pulmonary heart disease.
1. Chronic bronchitis: the patient’s lung texture is thickened and disordered, and the bronchial wall is thickened and deformed.
2. The manifestations of emphysema: the patient’s lung volume increases, the distal lung tissue is destroyed, the lung texture is sparse, the lung transparency increases.
3. manifestations of pulmonary heart disease: patients with thickening of pulmonary hilar vessels and thickening of pulmonary arteries.
In addition to CT manifestations, the diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is mainly based on the patient’s medical history, symptoms and pulmonary function tests.
If suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, one should also quit smoking and pay attention to a light diet in daily life. Once the diagnosis is confirmed and active treatment is needed, timely medical treatment is recommended to improve the prognosis.
