How to determine if the back is fractured

The presence of a fracture in the lumbar region is determined by a combination of medical history, patient symptoms and signs, and imaging assessment. Usually lumbar fractures are caused by external forces, such as trauma, falls, and landing on the hip, at which point there is a longitudinal compression force on the lumbar spine. If lumbar pain occurs at this time, it is important to suspect the presence of a lumbar fracture and other conditions. At this point, X-rays should be taken, and if the X-rays show a lumbar spine fracture with significant displacement, the diagnosis is basically confirmed. If the X-ray does not show a fracture and so on, further MRI examination is needed because there are some minor bone fractures that cannot be accurately judged by X-ray and can be directly determined by MRI whether there is a fracture and so on.
