Biafin Ointment, known generically as Triethanolamine Cream, is used in the treatment of radiation dermatitis, and those with second and first degree burns without secondary infection.
Triethanolamine Ointment is an oil-in-water cream of triethanolamine that has cleansing and draining properties. It can accelerate the skin blood flow rate, reduce exudation, and also regulate the ratio between interleukin 1 and interleukin 4, increase collagen synthesis, and stimulate fibroblast proliferation.
Clinically, it is commonly used in the treatment of the affected areas of patients with radiodermatitis skin trauma, II-degree burns without secondary infection, radiodermatitis skin without trauma, and I-degree burns.
It should be noted that, if more obvious local irritation symptoms occur after topical application, it is recommended to stop the drug; if simple topical triethanolamine ointment can not be controlled, it is recommended to consult a doctor, under the guidance of the doctor to adjust the treatment program.
