Chenpi ginger jujube tea has the effect of strengthening the spleen and warming the stomach, but due to its single medicinal flavor and the fact that drinking it in water does not enable the efficacy of the drug to be fully realized, it cannot be used as a medicine for the treatment of diseases.
1. Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae is pungent, bitter and warm in nature; it belongs to the spleen, lung and stomach meridians and has the effects of regulating qi, strengthening the spleen, drying dampness and resolving phlegm (expelling dampness by drying dampness and resolving phlegm).
Chenpi can be used to treat vomiting and hiccups caused by Qi stagnation in the spleen and stomach, as well as cold phlegm cough and chest paralysis (tightness and pain in the chest).
2. Ginger, pungent and slightly warm in nature, belonging to the lung, spleen and stomach meridians, has the functions of relieving surface and dispersing cold (removing the cold from the surface of the muscle), warming and stopping vomiting (stopping vomiting by warming the middle of the body), resolving phlegm and relieving cough, and is used in the treatment of wind-cold cold, stomach-cold vomiting, cold phlegm and cough and fish and crab poisoning, with no obvious adverse reactions and contraindications.
3. Red dates, sweet and warm in nature, belonging to the spleen, stomach and heart meridians, have the function of tonifying the middle and benefiting the qi (treating qi deficiency by tonifying the spleen), nourishing blood and tranquilizing the spirit, and can be used for treating spleen deficiency with low food intake, loose stools with fatigue (thinning of feces without shape), and dirty agitation of women (disturbed and depressing, and sad and wanting to cry for no reason) and other illnesses, with no obvious adverse reactions and contraindications.
