Bilateral lymph nodes in the neck show if it is cancer

Bilateral cervical lymph nodes can be caused by various reasons, which may be inflammation and edema of lymph nodes, or local sclerosis, calcification, solid changes, etc. Therefore, patients should not judge whether it is cancer based on this symptom alone, but should be diagnosed through examination. Bilateral lymph nodes in the neck indicate viral or bacterial infection in the adjacent organs of the neck. If the lymph node enlargement is mild, oral antibiotic treatment can be given according to the disease at the primary site and symptomatic treatment. If the swelling of lymph nodes in the neck is more serious, with pressure pain and persistent enlargement or multiple lymph nodes fused with each other, the cause should be clarified by puncture biopsy or pathological examination to exclude lymphatic tuberculosis, lymphoma or lymph node metastasis in the neck of malignant tumor. If the patient’s neck ultrasound report only indicates bilateral neck lymph nodes, there is no need to worry too much. If necessary, the patient can go to the general surgery department of a regular hospital for routine treatment after a clear diagnosis.
