Colon cancer that has metastasized to the lungs can cause respiratory symptoms and sometimes signs of localized pain. Colon cancer can metastasize if it reaches an advanced stage. When the patient has obvious respiratory symptoms, it indicates that the cancer cells have the possibility of metastasizing to the lungs. For example, there is dry cough, blood in sputum, difficulty in breathing and so on. As the malignant tumor cells invade the lungs, it may cause the patient to have the symptom of chest pain. When the pain is severe, it will radiate to the back and neck. Timely treatment should be carried out after diagnosis of colon cancer to control the growth of cancer cells in order to avoid metastasis of cancer cells. Patients with colon cancer should seek medical consultation in time when they feel unwell to avoid aggravation of the condition.
