The results of hair transplantation are generally very good, but there are some things that are not as good as they should be. Firstly, the implanted hair will not fall off again. The hair follicles of the implanted hair are taken from the back of the occipital area, where they are almost unaffected by hormone levels and will not fall off again. Secondly, after the implantation of hair still need to continue to use medication, because seborrheic alopecia is a progressive process, the hairline gradually back, forehead and top hair gradually involved, so the outer ring of hair in the transplantation area will still gradually become thin and fall off, the transplantation area appears island-like. Continued medication can slow down the progression of this process but cannot stop it. Generally, after 5-10 years or less, the grafted area will have an island-like appearance and may require a second surgery. Without medication, the appearance is very pronounced within a year or so, requiring retransplantation.
