What is the effect of knapweed plus chrysanthemum

Jie Jie Cao plus Chrysanthemum has the effects of clearing liver and improving eyesight (clearing liver fire to promote vision recovery), clearing heat and fire (clearing heat and fire from the body), and diuretic. However, the use of individual pairs of medicines does not represent the efficacy of the medicines in the treatment of diseases, and should be taken in consultation with a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner under his/her diagnosis if needed. Jiejie Cao has the efficacy of clearing heat and fire (removing heat and fire from the body), brightening the eyes and reducing cataracts (improving eyesight and blurred vision), diuretic, expelling phlegm and relieving cough. It is mainly used in the treatment of eye redness and swelling, corneal opacity, hepatitis, bronchitis, cough, and urinary tract infection. The adverse reactions and contraindications of this drug are not clear at present. Chrysanthemum is sweet, bitter and slightly cold in nature; it enters the lung and liver meridians. It has the efficacy of dispersing wind and heat (dispersing wind-heat and heat-heat evils), clearing heat and removing toxins (clearing heat and toxins in the body), calming the liver and suppressing yang, clearing the liver and improving eyesight (clearing the liver fire to promote the restoration of eyesight). It is clinically used in the treatment of exogenous wind-heat colds, the first signs of warm diseases, sores, carbuncles, swollen toxins, and hyperactivity of liver fire. The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are currently unknown. The use of Jiejie Cao and Chrysanthemum as a single medicine pair does not necessarily imply that they are effective in the treatment of the disease. If use is required, it should be consulted with a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and used under his/her supervision.
