Epilepsy has been untreated for more than 10 years

Patient: The convulsions started more than ten years ago, and they are becoming more frequent. Recently, there are often brief periods of blurred consciousness and twitching, but basically every grand mal seizure is in sleep. In 2008, we went to the First Medical University Hospital and had an EEG and a topographic brain map done, but no problems were found. The first thing we want to do is to confirm the diagnosis and have a valid test. I heard that there are dynamic EEGs, I wonder if they are effective for us. Secondly, we want to ask about the feasibility of surgery, whether to open the skull, and how much risk?
