Heart failure is generally categorized into left heart failure, right heart failure and total heart failure; left heart failure is dominated by respiratory symptoms such as dyspnea and coughing up sputum; right heart failure is dominated by gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal distension, nausea and vomiting; and total heart failure symptoms are both.
1. Left heart failure: left heart failure is mainly manifested by pulmonary circulation stasis. Symptoms include different degrees of dyspnea, such as exertional dyspnea, sedentary breathing, and nocturnal paroxysmal dyspnea. It may be accompanied by cough, sputum and hemoptysis.
2. Right Heart Failure: Right heart failure is mainly manifested by blood clots in the body circulation. Symptoms are gastrointestinal symptoms, like abdominal distension, lack of appetite, nausea and vomiting. It may be accompanied by soft tissue edema and dyspnea.
3. Total heart failure: common in patients with myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, left heart failure secondary to right heart failure can also lead to total heart failure. All of the above symptoms can be seen.
Different types of heart failure have different symptoms and different treatment modalities; patients should strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for scientific treatment.
