Symptoms of colds in babies 0-3 months

Common symptoms of colds in babies aged 0 to 3 months include systemic and localized symptoms such as fever, lack of appetite, runny nose and sneezing.
Colds, also known as acute upper respiratory tract infections, are the most common illnesses in children and are 90% caused by viruses. Due to the anatomical and immunological characteristics of the upper respiratory tract, infants and young children are susceptible to this disease.
0~3 months baby colds start sharply, with systemic symptoms, local symptoms are mild.
0~3 months baby cold systemic symptoms include fever (body temperature up to 39 ℃ or more, fever course for 2~3 days to 1 week or so, the onset of 1~2 days can be due to fever caused by convulsions), restlessness, crying and so on. Some children have gastrointestinal symptoms such as lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain.
Local symptoms include nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, coughing, pharyngeal discomfort and sore throat.
Babies aged 0 to 3 months are advised to seek prompt medical attention if any of the above symptoms occur.
