How long to wear contact lenses

Contact lenses are usually recommended to be worn for no more than 8 hours a day and are not recommended for long-term wear, i.e. not every day. On average, you should try not to wear contact lenses more than 2-3 days a week, and try to get enough rest before continuing to wear them. Because contact lens wear requires contact with the cornea, it can prevent the exchange of oxygen between the cornea and the outside air, and it can also prevent tears from entering the surface of the eye, so wearing contact lenses for a long time can lead to a lack of water and oxygen in the cornea, which may cause damage and even lead to infection. It is recommended that contact lenses should not be worn for more than 8 hours a day, and that they should be worn every other day or every two days, and not as often as possible.
