Is Kawasaki disease treatable in young children?

Kawasaki disease in young children is better treated in its early stages, and the earlier the diagnosis and timely treatment, the better the prognosis. Kawasaki disease is usually treated with immunoglobulin shock therapy in the early stages and oral aspirin for children with combined heart injury. If necessary, glucocorticoids and immunosuppressive drugs may also be used depending on the child’s condition. However, if the child is not diagnosed in the early stages of the disease, treatment is more laborious and may leave sequelae that require long-term medication.
