Recurrent fever, cough and runny nose may be caused by upper respiratory tract infection, allergic rhinitis, etc., which needs to be treated with appropriate medication for the cause and symptomatic treatment at the same time.
1. Upper respiratory tract infections: For children with viral infections, antiviral drugs such as oseltamivir (not recommended for infants under 1 year of age) can be given as prescribed by the doctor. For bacterial infections, cephalosporins can be given.
2. Allergic rhinitis: antihistamines such as loratadine (not recommended for children less than 2 years old) can be given as prescribed by the doctor; nasal glucocorticosteroids such as budesonide and mometasone furoate can also be used.
Parents should use warm water to wipe the child’s body during treatment. If the body temperature exceeds 38.5℃, antipyretic drugs such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. Drink plenty of warm water during the period to promote recovery.
If the child has a recurring fever, cough and runny nose, parents are advised to bring their children to the doctor in time to clarify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment.
