Generally, 8-6 times of chemotherapy are needed after total gastric cancer resection, depending on the treatment plan. Gastric cancer belongs to relatively common malignant tumors, and total gastrectomy is needed for those with larger lesions or special location. The chemotherapy after gastric cancer resection is called adjuvant chemotherapy, and the specific number of times is related to different programs, mainly as follows: 1. single agent Tegio: 2 weeks oral and 1 week stop, that is, 1 time in 3 weeks; if Tegio is continuously taken orally, it usually needs to last for about 1 year, and a total of 16 cycles, that is, 16 times are needed; 2. Modified FOLFOX6 regimen: 1 time in 2 weeks, need to continue for half a year, usually need 12 times of chemotherapy; 3. XELOX regimen or SOX regimen: both regimens are intravenous plus oral chemotherapy, once in 3 weeks, lasting six months, with a total of 8 cycles of chemotherapy, or 8 times. Patients are advised to follow the doctor’s instructions for chemotherapy in order to reduce the probability of recurrence and metastasis and prolong the survival period.
