Patients with swollen faces after wisdom tooth extraction need to be seen immediately in the hospital for examination. The swelling of the face after wisdom tooth extraction is usually caused by postoperative inflammation, most likely due to insufficient post-extraction care, resulting in bleeding and hematoma in the extraction socket, followed by inflammation, infection and dry socket. If the symptoms are serious, intravenous infusion is needed. Second, local treatment is needed to explore the site and nature of the swelling in the location of the swelling. If there is fluid and abscess formation, incision and drainage and flushing should be performed under local anesthesia in a timely manner, and the swelling will gradually recover in about a week until it is cured.
