What to watch out for when your baby falls out of bed and hits his head.

After the baby fell off the bed and hit his head, parents can not take it lightly, usually need to observe 24~72 hours, pay attention to observe the general condition, mental state, sleep and whether there is vomiting, etc.. 1. Observe the general condition of the child: such as diet, urination and defecation, limb movement and so on. 2. Observe the baby’s mental state: whether there is any abnormal restlessness, drowsiness, abnormal behavior after the mood has stabilized. 3. Observe the situation of falling asleep: observe the breathing during sleep, whether it is smooth and rhythmic. Don’t let your child sleep for a long time. After a while, wake him/her up once and observe his/her mental state. If the child is unusually quiet or restless, or if he or she is hard to wake up, or if he or she is drowsy, or if he or she can open his or her eyes but is disoriented, be alert to the possibility of cerebral hemorrhage. 4. Observe the situation of vomiting: If you vomit frequently and in a jet-like manner, you should be alerted. Because of the brain injury, frequent vomiting and projectile vomiting are obvious symptoms. If your baby falls on his head and has abnormal symptoms, we recommend that you consult a doctor promptly, and if necessary, have a relevant examination to rule out traumatic brain injury.
