What happens if you don’t get a clean abortion?

Medication abortion may cause some damage to the uterine lining if the abortion is not clean. The residual tissue stays in the uterine cavity, and if it cannot be discharged, it may be planted in the uterine cavity, and then it is not a problem that can be solved by removal of the uterus, and it requires hospitalization for hysteroscopic electrosurgery of the residual tissue. The presence of residual tissue in the uterine cavity can cause frequent and irregular vaginal bleeding, which can lead to infection and possibly even anemia. When the residue from a medicated abortion is less than one centimeter, oral medication that invigorates blood circulation and removes blood stasis is recommended to help bring the uterus back to normal. If it is more than one centimeter, then the uterus should be cleared again, so that the residue will not exist in the uterine cavity for a long time, causing damage to the body and affecting future pregnancies.
