In the early stages of leukemia, the skin may appear pale and bruised.
Leukemia is a class of malignant clonal disease of hematopoietic stem progenitor cells, which is characterized by the uncontrolled growth of leukemia cells and their unrestricted proliferation and accumulation in bone marrow and other hematopoietic tissues, leading to progressive reduction of cells in normal hematopoietic tissues, inhibition of normal hematopoiesis and extensive infiltration of other organs and tissues, resulting in a variety of symptoms.
The initial stage of leukemia may cause anemia, decreased platelet count or coagulation disorders. As a result of anemia there may be pale, lusterless skin. As the lower the platelet count, the worse the coagulation function, the ecchymosis of the skin and mucous membranes will be larger, and may even merge into a large ecchymosis and bruise situation.
Patients in the early stage of leukemia should go to the hematology department of regular hospitals in a timely manner and be treated actively under the guidance of professional doctors.
