Ct or MRI for cerebral vascularization

To check the cerebral blood vessels, you can choose to do CT or magnetic resonance angiography, ordinary CT or MRI can not show the cerebral blood vessels, patients can follow the doctor’s advice to check.
CT examination: CT scan can not see the blood vessels, the examination speed is fast, and it is more sensitive to bleeding. If you need to see the cerebral blood vessels clearly, you need to inject the contrast agent into the vein and then scan it, which is often called CTA examination, which is an invasive operation. Moreover, CT is a radioactive test, which has the damage of ionizing radiation.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): MRI scanning can not see the blood vessels, but MRI angiography (MRA) can clearly image the blood vessels without ionizing radiation. The disadvantage is that the examination takes longer, up to an hour or more. This test is prohibited for people with implants such as metal dentures and plates.
It is recommended that patients undergo the examination in regular hospitals and be evaluated by specialized doctors according to their individual conditions to choose the appropriate examination method to avoid delays.
