Foreign body sensation in the esophagus is commonly caused by the ingestion of foreign bodies in the esophagus, for example, ingestion of fish spikes in the esophagus or ingestion of date nuclei. Patients do not have a clear history of foreign body ingestion when they come in, and when they do gastroscopy, they find that there is a fish spike inserted across the entrance of the esophagus or a date nuclei inserted across the entrance of the esophagus, and there is indeed a foreign body. In addition, there are patients who do have foreign body sensation and always feel something in their throat when swallowing, it is recommended to do gastroscopy, which is very necessary to first rule out foreign body in esophagus, if there is foreign body in esophagus, the symptoms of lifting foreign body will disappear; if there is no foreign body in esophagus, the patient is a relief from the mind and spirit, through psychological relief lesion analysis and do related psychogenic treatment. In the case of esophageal foreign body, the real foreign body can be removed by gastroscopy, but in the case of psychogenic esophageal foreign body, gastroscopy should be done to remove the real pathological phenomenon, so as to give better guidance for psychogenic treatment of the patient.
