How to put the tongue for nucleic acid

The tongue should be pressed down to fully expose the pharyngeal tonsils on both sides when doing the nucleic acid.
Sampling for nucleic acid testing of the new coronavirus is very simple. The sampler will ask the subject to gently raise his/her head, open his/her mouth, expose both pharyngeal tonsils as much as possible, and then gently wipe both pharyngeal tonsils, the back wall of the pharynx up and down at least three times with a cotton swab or a pharyngeal swab. The swabs are then placed in a test tube and handed over to the laboratory for the corresponding viral nucleic acid test.
The sampling process is very short, usually the staff will remind the person being sampled not to retract the tongue, some people will dodge and be afraid during the sampling, resulting in nausea and discomfort after sampling, it is recommended that after the sampling process is completed, you can drink some water and gargle in order to alleviate the localized oropharyngeal and psychological discomfort.
